ELITE YOUTH EXCEL AT HOLIDAY CLASSIC;
LI, KOLOGY, JONES & KATZ REACH TOP 16!!!
Twelve Elite 12 & Unders competed this weekend against some of the finest swimmers in New Jersey (and some great swimmers from Long Island, Westchester & Pennsylvania) in the 20th annual Holiday Classic meet held at Rutgers University. Although all 12 athletes swam great, 4 Elite swimmers (Michael Li, Regan Kology, Brent Jones and Zackie Katz) led Elite and broke into the top 16 (and therefore, scored points for Elite!) with their exceptional swimming.
In the New Jersey Swimming world, mid-December signals the halfway point of the winter training season. Elite marks this sign post by sending its top swimmers to one of two meets: Elite’s 12 & Under swimming studs compete at the prestigious Holiday Classic Meet. The 13 & Older stars travel to Pittsburgh to compete in a similar meet this coming weekend at the Christmas Invitational.
