SILVERS, 14 INDIVIDUAL MEDAL WINNERS:
Building upon last weekend’s impressive 12 & Under results (10 additional JO cut times), the 13 & Older Elite swimmers performed brilliantly this past weekend at both the Sectionals Long Course competition in Maryland and the Silver Long Course competition held at Rutgers.
Representing Elite in the Mens Open 100 meter backstroke at the Speedo “Super Sectionals” held at Saint Mary’s College in Maryland, 14 year old Chris Dart rocketed to a 29th place finish (out of 56 competitors) with a 1.02.68 time. This time represented Chris’s best time so far this season and it inched him closer to the NJ state record for 13-14 year old boys. Chris will have an opportunity to better that record this weekend during JO’s. Results of the meet can be viewed at cbacswimming.org.
Back in New Jersey, Chris’s teammates were emulating his swim with brilliant performances of their own. Eight swimmers posted 23 additional Junior Olympic cut times while fifteen separate Elite swimmers were medal winners (Top 8 place finish).
