ELITE NEWS BULLETIN 3-20-08
DART TV SEGMENT EXPECTED TO BE AIRED TONITE (THURSDAY, MARCH 20TH);
DART TO BE NAMED SWIMMER OF YEAR BY TWO PUBLICATIONS:
Celebrating his spectacular high school and club swimming year, the local media will prominently display Elite swimmer Chris Dart over the next few days.
First up: Fox News Channel 9 filmed a segment on Chris several weeks ago and that segment is expected to aired tonite, Thursday, March 20, 2008 during the 10:00 pm news show. Reporter Matt Trapani followed Chris to Chatham High School and to Elite practice, gathering information and film on our swimmer. In addition, Trapani is in possession of the Burgdorff Olympic Trials clip, which is expected to be included within the segment.
Next: Both the Star Ledger and the Morris County Daily Record will name Chris “Swimmer of the Year” in their annual wrap up of the local high school swim season. Both news items are expected to be in this Sunday’s edition.
The Star Ledger’s selection is quite an honor, as their selection is based upon swimmers in the entire state of New Jersey. A major factor in their decision was Chris’s fabulous Meet of Champions performance, where he won both his individual races (100 back and 200 IM), both in state record time.
The Daily Record will name Chris “Swimmer of the Year” in the Morris County area.
Elite hopes both publications will also
name other Elite high school swimmers as “all-county” in their events.
